International Volunteer Day

International Volunteer Day (IVD) is a chance for volunteer-involving organizations and individual volunteers to promote their contributions to development at local, national and international levels.
The United Nations has designated December 5 to be a a day to acknowledge volunteers who contribute to a better world.

Global Youth Service Day
April 23 – 25, 2010
Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) is a time in the year when we come together to focus the world’s attention on what young people are contributing every single day. GYSD is held during a weekend every April in over 100 countries in every region of the world.
