Parents

When you engage your children in their own community as volunteers, you open their eyes to the whole world.

Volunteering introduces children to the rich cultural diversity inherent in every community. They learn to live Canada’s most important citizen value: tolerance. And they learn to appreciate and welcome the diversity that makes Canada and Canadians special.

Volunteer activities teach children important life skills – responsibility, leadership, and the awareness that comes from exposure to people from all walks of life. It should also be an enjoyable and enriching experience – not to mention, a lot of FUN!

Volunteer as a whole family, or help your children learn independently through an activity of their own.

Give us a call and we’ll help you find appropriate volunteer activities for you and your family.

Quote of the Month
Affirming words from moms and dads are like light switches. Speak a word of affirmation at the right moment in a child’s life and it’s like lighting up a whole roomful of possibilities.
