What do you think?

As a parent, I hope that we can share our experiences with one another in order to achieve a positive approach to supporting our children in the community service area. As a youth volunteer coordinator I have been exposed to youth of all ages. The “leaders”, the “curious but shy”, the “followers”, the “risk takers” and the “non-believers” .
What has taken me most by surprise is the high percentage of youth who truly want to accomplish something of value for someone, group or organization. OUR youth want to make an impact regarding community services but sometimes feel a little lost or out of touch just as to HOW to tackle this.
I ask you from one parent to another, offer your guidance whether it’s through your own personal experiences or that of referring them to our YOUTH volunteer website to get some insight as to what is available.
I can guarantee that you both will be pleasantly surprised by our resources and expertise. All it takes is planting the seed with our eager and energetic youth and then sitting back and watching what comes to fruition.
I would love to hear your comments.
