Uncas Antler Lake Community League joins Chef’s Choice frozen Meals on Wheels network

Registration for Executive Director Bootcamp now open
IVC is thrilled to announce that the Uncas Antler Lake Community League will be joining the network of local organizations supporting the distribution of Chef’s Choice frozen Meals on Wheels options as of September 1, 2015. Regular dates and times have yet to be set for distribution, but we will be hold a tasting and information session at the Uncas Antler Lake Community Hall on September 16. Since partnering with Edmonton Meals on Wheels in the fall of 2015, IVC and its network partners have distributed over 3500 microwave-ready, nutritious frozen meals to the residents of Sherwood Park and Strathcona County. Prepared locally by professional chefs working with fresh ingredients and with the support of trained dietitians, the Chef’s Choice menu provides inexpensive and convenient alternatives and snacks to suit a variety of lifestyles. Pinnacle Sportswear and Promotions partners on fundraising Sidewalk Sale
Registration is now open for the second of our always popular Executive Director Bootcamps. Taking place on Friday, October 16th at the Strathcona County Museum and Archives, this fast-paced day will include sessions on business planning, organizational storytelling, how to talk to corporate partners, as well as an innovative, interactive team exercise to end the day. This event is offered as part of our Suncor Energy Workshop series.

IVC is thrilled to be partnering with our friends at Pinnacle Sportswear and Promotions on the Pinnacle Sidewalk Sale, to be held on Saturday, August 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 130 Broadway Boulevard in Sherwood Park. High-quality merchandise, one-of-kind items, and a great mix of things will be on sale for up to 90% off. A portion of all proceeds raised during the sale will go to support the programs and services offered by IVC. We will be onsite throughout the sale with information displays, drop boxes for our Coats for the County program, as well as opportunities to donate to the Strathcona Food Bank.
